I do have one question. : Has anyone seen any pictures of Oliver Parker? He played Peloquin, and I've looked all over the web for a picture of him out of make-up to no avail.
I know that he's a successful director now, and I did see a single photo of him taken when he was directing "The Importance Of Being Ernest". It was taken from such a distance that you can't really make out who's in it.
He's been in alot of other films, of course. If I have to I'll rent something I'd never normally watch just to satisfy my curiosity as to what he looks like. lol

He plays one of the moving men in Hellraiser. That's him right there in 1986.

According to IMDB: The Little White Horse (2007) (pre-production) Fade to Black (2006) (post-production) The Private Life of Samuel Pepys (2003) (TV) The Importance of Being Earnest (2002) ... aka Importance d'être constant, L' (France) An Ideal Husband (1999) Othello (1995) Apparently he writes, too. ~ Cobweb

Hmmm. He looks better with the make-up on?

Hmmm. He looks better with the make-up on? This sounds so bad but...you're right. He was hot as Peloquin.

He plays a moving man in Hellraiser II, as well. They had him credited as Workman 2, but he's one of the guys moving the boxes out of Dr. Channard's house at the very end of the film. And yeah, he looked a lot better with makeup, whereas Simon Bamford looked far better without.

I must regrettably concur. The latex made him look a whooole lot sexier. lol.

Often times, the people who get heavy make-up roles on screen have unusual physical characteristics... usually tall and very thin, so that the make up can be built around them. I think in the case of Oliver, we are really seeing his eyes and nose under the makeup, and that his chin and hair are really from the makeup. For an example of before and after, look at Camden Toy, who played the main Gentleman on Buffy, or Doug Jones who played Abe Sapian on Helllboy (and the main guy in the upcoming Pan's Labyrinth that looks so cool... both skinny guiys who have alot built onto them makeup-wise.

nice screenies there baphomette - fantastic effort!!
hey, i'm not getting into the better-looking/worse-looking with or without make-up argument cos i'm not that way inclined erm .....towards guys...... and i love the hellraiser films (well, the first few) - so what i want to know is how the hell (no pun intended) did i miss this before.....? i mean, those eyes... they're unmistakable!!

Well he was only bit player in the film. I totally missed it myself. He was sorta sexy as the moving guy but as Peloquin he was amazing. I wonder how he'd take it if he knew some folk think he's better looking in monster makeup.
