Does anyone have the Nightbreed soundtrack?
If so, now that you’ve listened to the music without viewing the scenes, what do you think of it as a medium for articulating the mood of the film?

I think it does, but it doesn't work for me as casual listening though. I had wondered if it would have been better if the tracks corresponded to the order of scenes in the film. I just saw a documentary about cemeteries and all I could think of was Midian would have been gorgeous if it was real.

I have the soundtrack on cassette tape, and I did used to listen to it as general background music while I read or whatever. I don't play it so much these days as I'm afraid the tape might just break with age. It's nice mood music, with or without the movie.
I really must make the effort to get the CD version...

Considering how popular Danny Elfman is, why don't they rerelease it? You'd think any Elfman would sell to fans? BTW for soundtrack fans, the following site is kind of an IMDB for film & tv music: www.soundtrack.net/
